My Review:

What a wonderful read! I fully admit that I’m not a huge Love Inspired reader. But I have read some of Tabitha Bouldin’s other works and am a huge fan of her tasteful wit and sarcasm and incredibly well developed characters. I’m personally a fan of second chance romance stories in general because the romance for me is more believable. The characters know each other’s last names before they’re falling “head over heals” if ya know what I mean haha. One thing in particular that I loved about this story is that both Callie and Jacob truly had their own hurdles to overcome, and the tension of their current relationship blended with the reminders of their comfortable one in the past, really plunged my heart and soul into their journey. As with her other works I’ve read, there was plenty of wit, but there was also struggle and longing. This story was so easy to pick up and fall into, yet not so easy to put down. I sure hope there gets to be more from this world in the future because I’m simply not ready to let these characters go!
