MY REVIEW
I’ve really enjoyed this series and have been impatient for each release as it’s set to launch. But what I love the most is that while it’s a fictional series, it calls attention to a very real, very serious problem that still exists in the world today, and that’s human trafficking. Each book tackles a different aspect and forces you as a reader to consider circumstances that aren’t so pretty to think about. I liked that for this story, Range was a very black & white personality type, and it took his journey with Kasra to begin to grasp how much a victim she was herself and all the good she tried to accomplish while living under impossible circumstances. It’s easy to villainize everyone in a world of corruption, but it’s not always so black and white for the ones who have no choice. My only complaint in this one is that I felt the language was overdone. There wasn’t any official cursing, but the phrases were either cut-off just before the curse word, or other words were inserted in place of. But it was CONSTANT. Other than that it was another read I didn’t want to put down, just like the other books in this series.
