Lights Out (The SNAP Agency #1)

My Review:

Okay, pretty sure this read has thankfully restored my hope in contemporary romantic suspense. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get into any legal thrillers because in an attempt to up the action and suspense, the sentences are short and clipped and it’s all about the movement forward. But when writing is done that way, the characters and setting get left in the dust and it creates unbalanced stories (personal opinion). What I loved about this read was that it was the perfect balance of the suspense that keeps you on your toes, with the description that helps you to actually be able to fall into the setting.

I liked that Brynn and Jack had a past together and that the tension from that could be felt  as tangibly as the chemistry between them. It was very well played, and kept me invested in them almost as much as the drama that was unfolding around them. Very, very well done.

I really enjoyed this read and I’m already looking forward to the next one in the series!

*I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers but I also purchased a copy of my own. Thoughts and opinions expressed are mine alone.

  1. Hi, Becca. Great review. I agree with your comments in the first chapter. I couldn’t find this on Goodreads. Is it not on there? I wanted to add it to my TBR list.
