How Random is Your TBR?

There are a lot of options to talk about for today’s topic of RANDOM. My first thought went towards picking what books to read next, so I’m going with it!

Do you have a stack of books in the order you intend to read them? Do you jump genres to keep things interesting and/or do you have a favorite you look to? Are you more likely to add a book to your TBR pile based on an online ad or a personal recommendation? Is there an order to how you pick your next reads or is it like sticking your hand in a sack to pick a mystery-read? Share your thoughts in the comments! I’d love to hear from you!

As for me, my preference is historical fiction but I’ll admit sometimes I try to change things up when I need a pick-me-up or just looking for something a little different for a bit. For example, reading a good suspense always seems to get my reading spirits back up and running! Currently my reading schedule is highly controlled by my review schedule, but every now and then if I get far enough ahead I try to pick something off my shelf that I’ve been impatiently waiting to get to. Seeing what others are reading and loving is also likely to affect my TBR stack.

I decided to share a few funny videos I saw on Youtube about the TBR pile. Please note: I don’t actually follow the creators of the videos and we have VERY different TBR choices. So ignore the books themselves but enjoy the book nerd humor 😉

  1. I have a huge TBR pile. Mostly sent to me from authors.
However, since the Christmas season is upon me I plan to read Christmas=y books.
Afterwards, I am not sure which books I’ll start with. Maybe I should listen to these videos 🙂
