I had an entire post created with multiple titles shared, but I decided to delete all of it so that I could highlight this certain book, and I hope you can see why:
This book was incredibly well-written but it’s also a very difficult read. It’s partially based on a true story. One of the twins it was based on has a video I’ve seen on Facebook where she talks about her experiences. It’s about 15 min long but if you haven’t seen it yet I definitely recommend you take the time to watch. I share this because it captures the essence of what historical fiction aims to do. It takes us back to a different time and speaks to us as if we are standing there. It’s a voice from the past that speaks to the present.

This is a book that has been on my TBR for a while, but I have not gotten to it. Thanks for the reminder.
I hope you get the chance to read it!
