I honestly don’t know what the longest book is that I read this year (or ever), but the first book that came to my mind for today is a book I recently bought at Ollies. It’s a whopping 888 pages long and one I’ve never read but have felt compelled to for several years. It’s called Roots. Currently my review pile is super high, but I really hope that I have the opportunity to read this one this coming year.

I am dating myself here but I read Roots after the original tv mimiseries was out in the late 70’s. I was in high school! The book is very good. If you ever decide to watch it, try to find the original series instead of the more recently released one.
Actually I broke my law and watched the mini-series done by the history channel but I thought they did a great job with it
