It’s been another exciting month for reading!
Earlier this month I traveled to Grand Rapids, MI where I attended the second annual Fiction Readers Summit (FRS) hosted by Baker Book House. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had on my trip and how much I miss everyone already! The main event was on Friday, Aug 9 but there was an author dinner on Thursday (that was a little extra), and a breakfast on Saturday morning. I was in town from Thursday morning until Monday afternoon. I was completely surprised to get to visit and tour THE Baker Publishing Group on Monday before I had to head home. I shared some posts for each of the days on my trip which I’ll share here before I get to my “read” list for the month 🙂
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – Arrival Day
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – The Main Event
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – Closing Breakfast and More Fun
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – The Day After (Still in Grand Rapids)
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – A Tour of Baker Publishing Group
Fiction Readers Summit 2019 – Final Thoughts
It’s probably not surprising to you that I came home from the event with quite the haul. Some of them were given to me and the others I purchased at Baker Book House. Those of us who attended the event were given 30% off everything in the store and who wouldn’t love that?? Plus they gave us shopping carts to use! Oh boy, shopping carts in a bookstore full of book nerds 😉 I came home with a whopping 34 book! (Not pictured are a few duplicates).
Have you read any of them or are they on your TBR?
OK, and now for the official recap of books I read this month:

This was another one of those months where I had enough amazing reads that I just can’t pick a favorite. Sorry!

Wowzer! That’s a great stack of books you brought home! 🙂 Good for you!
Thanks! I bought another bookshelf when I came home to fit them! 😂
🙂
I’d like to read Stitches In Time. I haven’t read Suzanne Woods Fisher yet, but this one looks like a good one to start with. 🙂
I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series though 🙂
You definitely had an exciting month. I have tried two books by Kimberley Woodhouse and Tracie Peterson on my TBR pile. Looking forward to diving in
Yay! Hope you get to read them soon! 🙂
Whose Waves These Are was so good. So much so I couldn’t wrap my head around it being her debut novel. Let’s see, my favorite reads of August were…Finding Lady Enderly by Joanna Davidson Politano, Recovered Secrets by Jessica R. Patch, and A Family for Jason (Harlequin Heartwarming) by Virginia McCollough.
In need to read Count Me In still!!
I haven’t read any of those yet but glad you enjoyed them!
I just finished Strands of Truth and really liked it! Can’t wait to read your review. Mine will be up On the 11th!💜📚
You had an awesome month Becca!💙
I’ll have to check it out when it comes up! I will be sharing my review tomorrow 🙂
King’s Shadow is on my TBR list 🙂
