Journey Through God’s Word With a Knowledgeable Guide: Halley’s Study Bible

My Review:

I’m quite amazed at how thin the Bible is for how much has been packed into it. Don’t get me wrong, it certainly has some heft to it, but I am still able to hold it with one hand without feeling like I’m going to drop it. (I have very small hands). There is also that much-loved ribbon that can help you hold your place as you flip around during study. The font in the Bible text is slightly larger than that used for the footnotes and study notes. Section headings are printed in blue and the words of Jesus are in red. The images added are full color and include the web addresses they were pulled from in the captions. Halley’s Bible handbook has been around for many years, but it’s nice to see that much of it’s content has now been made easier to read and learn from by being conveniently placed within the Biblical text instead of another book to carry. There is plenty added to help you understand not only the text itself, but the origina history, culture and customs of the times you are reading about. This Bible is a great option for anyone looking for more in-depth study of the Bible without too much added bulk. I would easily recommend this as an option for a new study Bible.
