Author Interview

What are some other fun things you enjoy doing aside from writing?
I love to read, tole painting (painting scenes on wood), watching movies, going for walks with
my hubby, gardening.
Do you have a dedicated and/or favorite place to write?
I have two! In the cooler months, my sunflower office is where I write. In the warmer
months…out on my patio under the awning!
Where did you get your inspiration for this story?
I have always loved the magnificent Rocky Mountains, so I thought it would make a great setting
to base Mountain Abduction Rescue on (although my park/town are fictional). Plus, I wanted to
write a story featuring a strong and determined female park warden from a large family.
Were any of your characters based on anyone you know personally or were introduced to
during research?
Not in this book, but I have written in characters based on some of my family. Plus I’ve used
first/last names of friends, family, etc.
What would you like readers to take away from your writing?
That God’s mercies are new every day and we need to trust that He knows best for our journey.
Also that we need to forgive those who we feel have wronged us.
Are you able to tease about anything you are working on next?
Books 4 and 5 in the Crisis Rescue Team series are coming up:
Buried Grave Secrets – releases Dec 26, 2023 – and is about a forensic anthropologist and a
German Shepherd named Bones.
Yukon Wilderness Evidence – releases April 23, 2024 and is about a forensic botanist
The book I’m working on right now is about a female police officer and a K9 trainer.
