Happy Monday! The purpose of memorable Monday is to showcase a book that you’ve read in the past and share how/why it has stuck with you.
This week I’m featuring:
Amazon | Goodreads
Michal was the first book that I read by Jill Eileen Smith and also one of my first biblical fiction reads. I was surprised I hadn’t featured this one already for a Memorable Monday post but I’m fixing that now! If you haven’t read this one yet I highly recommend giving it a read!
About the Book:
Can their epic search for true love survive a father’s fury?
The daughter of King Saul, Michal lives a life of privilege–but one that is haunted by her father’s unpredictable moods and competition from her beautiful older sister. As a girl, Michal quickly falls for the handsome young harpist David.
But soon after their romance begins, David must flee for his life, leaving Michal at her father’s mercy in the prison that is King Saul’s palace. Will Michal ever be reunited with David? Or is she doomed to remain separated from him forever?
About the Author:
Jill Eileen Smith is the bestselling, award-winning author of the Wives of King David series, the Daughters of the Promised Land, the Wives of the Patriarchs, and The Loves of King Solomon series. Her research has taken her from the Bible to Israel, and she particularly enjoys learning how women lived in Old Testament times.
When she isn’t writing, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, read stories that take her away, ride her bike to the park, snag date nights with her hubby, try out new restaurants, or play with her lovable, “helpful” cat Tiger. Jill lives with her family in southeast Michigan.
Journey to the well by Diana Wallis Taylor it’s a story inspired by the samaritan woman in the bible. It’s describe her life, the tragedy she went through until she meets Jesus at the well and see her life transformed, redeemed by God.
I have not read any book of Jill eileen smith yet, but I recently bought “The heart of a king”. I will read it soon.
Oh I really liked that one as well!
I love Jill Eileen Smith’s novels. My favorite is A Passionate Hope. It’s such a great story!!!
I haven’t read that one yet but I have a copy of it!
