Happy Monday! The purpose of memorable Monday is to showcase a book that you’ve read in the past and share how/why it has stuck with you.
This week I’m featuring another recent Carol Award winner:
Amazon | Goodreads
A Light on the Hill was my first novel by Connilyn Cossette but it instantly placed her in my must-read author pile. Just last week it won a Carol Award for the Historical Romance category. I am fully hooked on this series and can’t wait for the next one to release. If you haven’t read any of the books in this series yet you need to remedy that right away. I highly highly recommend them!
If you’d like to check out my full review you can view it HERE.
As with the book I shared last week I can say that I’ve had the privilege of meeting the author in person. I met her at CFRR earlier this year in April. Reader events rock y’all! <3
About the Book:
Seven years ago, Moriyah was taken captive in Jericho and branded with the mark of the Canaanite gods. Now the Israelites are experiencing peace in their new land, but Moriyah has yet to find her own peace. Because of the shameful mark on her face, she hides behind her veil at all times and the disdain of the townspeople keeps her from socializing. And marriage prospects were out of the question . . . until now.
Her father has found someone to marry her, and she hopes to use her love of cooking to impress the man and his motherless sons. But when things go horribly wrong, Moriyah is forced to flee. Seeking safety at one of the newly-established Levitical cities of refuge, she is wildly unprepared for the dangers she will face, and the enemies–and unexpected allies–she will encounter on her way.
About the Author:
Connilyn Cossette is the ECPA & CBA Bestselling author of the Out from Egypt Series and the Cities of Refuge Series from Bethany House Publishers. When she’s not engulfed in the happy chaos of homeschooling two teenagers, devouring books whole, or avoiding housework, she can be found digging into the rich ancient world of the Bible.
