Happy Monday! The purpose of memorable Monday is to showcase a book that you’ve read in the past and share how/why it has stuck with you.
This week I’m featuring:
Amazon | Goodreads
As you may already know, this past weekend was the Carol Awards ceremony. Unable to attend myself, I had my laptop open in my lap and watched them on Facebook Live. My poor husband had to deal with my squealing and jumping as each of the winners were announced. (Since I was listening with headphones he had no warning when the reactions came either 😛 ). Anywhoo… I was incredibly excited when The Solace of Water won for the historical category. It was sooo well deserved! Full warning that there is some content that may be triggering and/or difficult to read, but it’s one that will stay with you for a very long time.
You can see my full review HERE.
And just because I can… here’s a pic of me and Elizabeth Byler Younts while at FRS last month 🙂 She’s amazing y’all. Just sayin 😉
I love this book. It’s so, so good. It’s one of the rare books on my re-read pile. 🙂
I can’t wait to read her next one The Bright Unknown too!
Me too! I’m already scheduled with Celebrate Lit. 🙂
Same here!!
Thanks so much!!! I’m so glad you featured Solace!!!
You’re very welcome!!! ❤️
I read Land of silence by Tessa afshar last year. It is inspired by the story of the woman in the bible with the issue of blood. I like how the author create a story around the miracle Jesus did for that woman. It’s shows us the importante of faith and how our lives can be restored by Christ.
I haven’t read that one yet but I love Tessa Afshar’s books and I’m hoping to get to it soon! Thanks for sharing 🙂
