Happy Monday! The purpose of memorable Monday is to showcase a book that you’ve read in the past and share how/why it has stuck with you.
This week I’m featuring:
Amazon | Goodreads
What I love above Jodi Picoult is that she can be completely unpredictable. As a reader you never know if she’s going to end on a high or low note, and often she is able to keep the reader guessing on the outcome until the very end. Leaving Time is one of her books that I was completely surprised by, enough that it’s on my re-read shelf so I can see it from a different perspective. I won’t give anything away about the plot. I’ll just tell you it’s totally worth the read.
About the Book:
For more than a decade, Jenna Metcalf has never stopped thinking about her mother, Alice, who mysteriously disappeared in the wake of a tragic accident. Refusing to believe she was abandoned, Jenna searches for her mother regularly online and pores over the pages of Alice’s old journals. A scientist who studied grief among elephants, Alice wrote mostly of her research among the animals she loved, yet Jenna hopes the entries will provide a clue to her mother’s whereabouts.
As Jenna’s memories dovetail with the events in her mother’s journals, the story races to a mesmerizing finish.

I’ve heard good things about Jodi Picoult but have never read one of her books. I hope you have a good week! 🙂
She’s known for writing about controversial topics but her ability to be unpredictable makes you love her and hate her at the same time lol
I have not read this book. In fact, I’m not a fan of this author. Have you read My Sister’s Keeper? That book made me so mad. 🤨
Yes I have. It made me mad too. Some of her other endings made me mad too. I just like that she’s unpredictable
