Happy Monday! The purpose of memorable Monday is to showcase a book that you’ve read in the past and share how/why it has stuck with you.

This week I’m actually showcasing a trilogy:

Slated is by far my favorite dystopian series that I’ve read. (I haven’t read a ton of them, but I have read the popular Hunger Games and Divergent). I read the first one shortly after it was released in the US, but I couldn’t wait for the second to be released, so I actually purchased it the UK since it released there first. I literally couldn’t put this series down! What caught my attention was the initial idea of teens being “slated” instead of being sent to a juvenile center. What would that even look like? It was a concept that intrigued me, and the author was able to hold my attention right through till the last page of the last book!

*Due to the fact that most of the books I review are Christian fiction, I feel the need to share that this is a secular fiction series.

About the Author:
Teri has lived in France, Canada, Australia and England at more addresses than she can count, acquiring three degrees, a selection of passports and a silly name along the way. Past careers have included scientist, lawyer, optometrist, and, in England, various jobs in schools, libraries and an audiobook charity. The footpaths and canal ways of the Buckinghamshire Chilterns where she now lives inspired much of the setting of Slated. She hates broccoli, likes cats, and has finally worked out what she wants to do when she grows up.
