Title: If I’m Found
Author: Terri Blackstock
Series: If I Run Book 2
Genre: Christian Fiction-Crime

About the Book:
Is Dylan hunting Casey to prosecute her or protect her?

Casey Cox is still on the run, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn’t commit. Dylan Roberts—her most relentless pursuer—is still on her trail, but his secret emails insist that he knows the truth and wants to help her. He’s let her escape before when he had her in his grasp, but trust doesn’t come easily.

As Casey works to collect evidence about the real murderers, she stumbles on another unbearable injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who’s also been falsely accused. Casey risks her own safety to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormenters. But doing so is risky and just may result in her capture—and if she’s captured, she has no doubt she’ll be murdered before she ever steps foot in a jail.

In this riveting sequel to the USA Today bestseller If I Run, evil lurks, drawing Casey out of the shadows . . . but there is light shining in the darkness. Is Dylan a provision from the God who loves her, or another heartache yet to happen?”

Review:

The series continues with Casey back on the run and fighting to stay hidden, but the dirty COPS responsible for her father’s death are starting to get more desperate and are breaking all the rules in an attempt to get to her. Now officially on her side (but trying his best to keep that hidden), Dylan continues to dig deeper into the history of the department and seeks out officers who left the department after the death of Casey’s father to see just how much dirt he can dig up. After Casey uncovers information that leads her to a mistress of detective Keegan, she settles down into Dallas so that she can trail her. She also becomes aware of a molestation case in the town that her new employer has been accused of but she is convinced he is innocent. While continuing to work on her own case, she works to bring justice and protect the little girl that she knows has been abused but by whom is the question. As tensions rise and the detectives are hot in pursuit, can Casey and Dylan get enough evidence against the dirty detectives, do they find her first, or is it back on the road again?

With even more suspense than the first book, I read this book in a single day. I was easily sucked into the drama and suspense of Casey’s story. I can’t wait to see how this series concludes. Although the third book is not set to release until next week, I have been graciously provided with a copy in exchange for a review, so I will be off reading that next. Book 3 review coming soon!

Rating: 5-Stars-300x57

Age Appropriateness: As with the first book in this series, I recommend this book to more mature readers. The case that Casey starts to work on in this book involves molestation and while details are not shared of the crime, it also alludes to the parents’ active involvement in the allowing it to happen. It’s a very intense book and in my personal opinion I wouldn’t recommend under the age of 15 or 16 but again encourage parental discretion.
