Show your little one the character of God with I AM: The Names of God for Little Ones. Capturing the names and characteristics of God through short Bible stories, Scripture, and bright illustrations, I AM: The Names of God for Little Ones helps you learn about God in a way that will draw even the youngest child. Children will close the book feeling loved, protected, and secure in the arms of the great I AM.
Written by bestselling author Diane Stortz and illustrated by Diane Le Feyer, I AM: The Names of God for Little Ones is a great companion to the bestselling Bible storybook I AM.
I Am is an adorable little picture book that is sure to be an exciting read for littles. I absolutely love the illustrations throughout, and they fit the descriptions well. The pages are laid out in a way that you could read very little throughout, or have a little more interactive fun. It’s fairly easy to cater to the attention spans of the the little ones you’re reading to.
Each page starts off with another name for God. Some of them have the associated Hebrew name below including their pronunciation. Each page then has a memory verse followed by a brief story that also shares the reference where it came from. Finally there is a quick prayer thanking God for who He is.
I believe this is a great introduction for littles into understanding more about who God is through some of the names He is known by. The story piece is short enough to hold their attention, but long enough for them to learn more about God. The pictures are absolutely stunning, and they are able to draw the kids’ attention in as well. This is a wonderful book for littles, and a great addition for any home, church, and public library.
