Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Admittedly my day was spent in my big comfy chair with a book in my hand and my essential oil diffuser by my side laid up with Bronchitis. (Yeah yeah, go ahead and say it, you know you’re thinking it 😉 haha).  While I was sad to miss the festivities with friends and family, I have to be honest that the big deal for me was missing out on the Christmas Eve service. For me, it’s the real celebration, when people are reflecting on what it’s supposed to all be about–Jesus.

But here’s something you might find shocking: Jesus wasn’t born Dec 25, 2019. In fact, he wasn’t born on Dec 25 at all. Christmas is the time that we use to remember his birth and what he came to do for us, but it is not his actual birthday. Contrary to what may be socially popular, we should be remembering his birth, life, death, and resurrection every day of the year. It should be ever-present in our minds.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

~Isaiah 9:6

So as it’s now Dec 26 and life seems to go back to normal, don’t forget what you were just  celebrating. Keep Jesus your focus and continue to seek opportunities to share him with others. His message is one that needs to be heard and received for salvation. Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father, and that’s too big of a deal to keep quiet. What great joy we have, to know that Jesus came and overcame this world for us so that we can be reconciled to our Heavenly Father and have eternal life with Him. Amen, Hallelujah! <3

  1. I love this post! So encouraging. Jesus is the reason for the season, but He’s the reason always!!! Definitely try to keep that forefront in my mind ever day.

    I’m sorry you’re sick. I hope you’re feeling better soon. ❤
