Happy Thursday! I am blessed to be a part of a group of bloggers who feel led to share a bit of encouragement each week from the Bible. We recognize our daily need for Christ and we aim to share that with our readers. Plus, when Thursday comes around, we can all use a little encouragement right? I hope that this post blesses you and that you find comfort, strength, and peace in the Lord today ❤


Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

~Phil 4:8-10

The passage on my heart to share this week is pretty short, sweet, and to the point. What has been on your mind lately? what type of thoughts have been taking up your time? Are you preoccupied with the worries of this life or fixed on Jesus and his goodness? There’s no question that this life comes with trials and struggles, but if we desire to have real peace we need to strive to lay our burdens down and follow Jesus. When our mind is focused on how big our mountains are, we fail to see the power and work of God with the ability to move them. We aren’t promised health and wealth, but we are promised an eternal relationship with our Father, God in Heaven. There is a peace only He can provide. When life feels overwhelming we need to maintain an eternal perspective. We need to fix our eyes on God above and whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and praiseworthy.

    27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
    28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

  2. It is vital that we focus on what is truly important. So many things are trying to get our attention that it’s often overwhelming. Thank you for sharing this verse today!
