his-encouragement

Happy Thursday! I am blessed to be a part of a group of bloggers who feel led to share a bit of encouragement each week from the Bible. We recognize our daily need for Christ and we aim to share that with our readers. Plus, when Thursday comes around, we can all use a little encouragement right? I hope that this post blesses you and that you find comfort, strength, and peace in the Lord today ❤

Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!

~1 Chronicles 16:11 (ESV)

Regardless of where you are spiritually, phyiscally, emotionally, etc my message to you is to keep your eyes fixed on the Lord. If life is great–seek Him. If life is rough–seek Him. If you’re not sure where you’re at–seek Him. Whether we are willing to admit it or not, we are fully dependent on Him for everything–right down to the very air we breath.

Life has been a bit crazy for me lately. I recently went back to my old job working overnights and have discovered that it’s a lot more difficult this time around when it comes to work/life/sleep balance. When you’re overtired you tend to feel a bit more emotional, and let’s just say I’ve felt pretty emotional. My family is very private especially when it comes to social media, but I also have an aunt who is going through some serious medical issues. It breaks my heart to see her in such pain and I can’t do anything to help her. I know that our ways are not His ways and that He knows what she is going through, but it can be hard to see someone suffer despite constant prayer.

I need the Lord’s strength today like I need air to breath. I know that any strength I have is from Him and I need to feel His presence desperately. Regardless of where you are at, I pray the same for you today. I will close with the song Breathe by Michael W Smith. I hope it blesses you like it does me.

Now, it’s your turn!

What Biblical verse is encouraging you today?

  1. Every time I hear this song, I think of God breathing the breath of life into Adam’s lungs. And I am reminded that God’s very breath is life. I’ve been reading (and enjoying) a Bible plan on Hebrew words. The last one I read was “RUACH: Which means BREATH” It went on to explain that the word for breath in Hebrew is Ruach which also means Spirit. So man only becomes a “living being” when God gives him His Spirit. God gives me breath and with it, I choose to praise Him!

  2. Praying for your aunt! Thank the Lord for the strength He gives! I’m glad we have Someone we can fix our eyes on! I can’t imagine trying to go through this life without Him!

  3. I’m really sorry about all your aunt is going through. Will keep praying!

    On a side note, I really love your verse choice today. From all the bad that’s been going on in life lately, I can personally attest to the truth of this verse. Seeking God daily is really the only thing helping me get through each day. And each day has been getting slightly easier all thanks to God.
