his encouragement

Happy Thursday! I am blessed to be a part of a group of bloggers who feel led to share a bit of encouragement each week from the Bible. We recognize that the source of our peace, strength, and security in this life comes from Jesus, and we aim to share that with our readers. Plus, when Thursday comes around, we can all use a little encouragement right? I hope that this posting blesses you and that you find strength and peace in the Lord today ❤

This week it’s on my heart to share:

He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

~Psalm 91:4 (NIV)

I happened to read this verse last night and I’ve been so stuck on the imagery I couldn’t help but want to share it today. In my mind I picture an intense storm and an eagle using it’s wings to protect it’s offspring to what’s around them. Isn’t that what God does for us? There are certainly storms in this life, but God also protects us and shelters us. He calls us to run to Him so that His wings of protection can be our shelter. This verse speaks love to me.

I know this is short this week, but I feel like the verse speaks for itself. Read it, memorize it, and meditate on it. Picture your Heavenly Father holding you in His arms and sheltering you from the storm. It certainly speaks comfort to me, and I hope it does for you too.

This week’s worship song is “Good Good Father” by Chris Tomlin. I hope you take a moment to listen to it and meditate on the truth it speaks to your heart. Hope you have a blessed Thursday!

Now, it’s your turn!

What Biblical verse is encouraging you today?
