Even though our circumstances have prevented us from celebrating today with friends and loved ones like normal this year, praise God for the reminder of what Christ has done for us on the cross! Jesus came to us on a rescue mission so that we could have a restored relationship with the Father and obtain eternal life. Hallelujah! So while things may seem scary and bleak around us right now, keep your eyes fixed on God, who isn’t shaken by the circumstances of the world and never changes. He’s the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Nothing takes Him by surprise or happens outside of his knowledge. If you have accepted him as your personal Lord and Savior, you can be at peace that there is nothing that can snatch you from his grasp.
Calling out to all those prayer warriors out there: While this year may be different because we can’t stand in our church buildings today, be reminded that the Church is not a building. The church has not been emptied–it has been deployed. For the first time ever, the internet has been flooded with church services across the globe. There is the opportunity to reach countless souls for Christ who might not otherwise have set foot in a church building. Pray for them. Pray that God would equip pastors to preach His Word in a powerful way, and that hearts would be softened to receiving Jesus as their savior. Trust that there is power when you pray in Jesus’ name.
Hallelujah, Christ has risen! Let us worship and bless His name!
And a very Happy Resurrection Day to you also! 🙂
