Happy Friday!

The book I’m featuring this week is The Trust Charm by Jessica Alyse:

The Trust Charm: A Finding Faith Romance (Book #1)

Amazon | Goodreads

Avery Sanders vowed to never love a man like him.

Admit it, that first line caught your attention too huh? 😉 Both the e-Book and the paperback of this novella are currently on sale (along with the sequel), so it’s the perfect time to get your hands on it! I got myself a copy of both and can’t wait to dig into them 🙂

About the Book:

After losing her brother-in-law in a fire, Avery Sanders makes a vow to never put her heart on the line for a man with a dangerous career. And then Liam Reed walks into her life and everything is suddenly beautiful in ways she’d never imagined.

When Liam meets Avery at the youth center where he volunteers, the attraction is instant. But then he learns that she won’t date guys with a dangerous profession. So he keeps his career as a cop secret until the time is right. When Avery discovers what he’s been hiding, will she trust God with their future? Or will she let it all slip away when tragedy strikes?

Now it’s your turn!

At the convenience store that served as the Greyhound bus station, Joshua held open the door for an Englischer. Dressed in a puffy white coat, the elderly woman stared up at him, her mouth agape, as she walked through the doorway. Maybe she wasn’t used to seeing an Amish man in a 7-Eleven, or maybe it was his Ray-Ban sunglasses that surprised her. He offered a half smile and removed them as he walked into the store.

I finally got this book today, I’ve been waiting all month:
The Dress Shop on King Street by Ashley Clark,
    From the prologue:
    Charleston, South Carolina, 1860
The candlelight sent a shadow of Rose up against the wooden wall. From the shadow, Rose looked taller. Stronger. Funny thing about shadows. They made even the smallest things into monsters or fairies or whatever folks wanted.
    Happy reading!

  3. Happy Friday!
On my blog today I’m sharing the first few lines from Jody Hedlund’s A Cowboy for Keeps: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2020/12/18/first-line-friday-166/. I’m currently on chapter 17 so I’ll share from there.
“Greta hadn’t been ready for their kiss to end and wanted to press into Wyatt, showing him he didn’t have to stop, that he could go on kissing her for as long as he wanted.”
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! 🙂❤📚

  4. That’s a great first line! On my blog today, I’m sharing The Governess’ Debut by Wendy May Andrews. Here, I will share the first line from Chapter Four. “Felicia had to struggle to keep her attention on Penelope’s lessons.” Merry Christmas!
