first line friday

Happy Friday!

This week I’m sharing the first line from the novella A Language of Love which is part of the Sew in Love collection.

Sew in Love: 4 Historical Stories of Love Stitched into Broken Lives

Amazon | Goodreads

“Yer gonna do what lass?” Auntie Bridget’s voice screeched into an upper octave only a soprano could manage.”

Don’t ya just love that first line??

Okay… it’s okay to be a little bit jealous but I am currently at Kimberley Woodhouse’s house and happen to be spoiled with the chance to read her latest novela A Language of Love while I’m here. It will be published in the Sew in Love Collection which releases in just one month on Dec 1, 2019 but it’s currently available for pre-order so you can reserve your own copy. Can’t wait to read it!

About the Novella:

New York City, 1911
A milliner with thick Irish accent and a renowned baseball player with speech impediment meet at the office of a language teacher. But the issues with their backgrounds that first brought them together will also drive them apart.

“Being escorted out of the firm by building security wasn’t on his to-do list, but he could write it in later … and cross it off.”

LOL! This book is filled with sweet and sassy stories. I am loving it so far.
