FLFHappy Friday!

The Book I’m featuring this week is:

Unblemished
By: Sara Ella

“This is all my fault.
She’ll lose her soul because of me.”

I don’t know about you, but I didn’t want to put the book down after reading that! Unblemished is on my very short TBR list. I’ve heard a lot of great things about it, so imagine my excitement when just a few weeks ago I found it at my local Ollie’s! Plus, I was just added to a blog tour next month that will spotlight the entire trilogy! *Excited squeee!* I also feel the need to mention that I absolutely LOVE the cover art! 🙂 (Sorry, I realize that was a lot of exclamation marks 😛 )

About the Book:
Eliyana has always recoiled from her own reflection in the mirror. But what if that were only one Reflection—one world? What if another world existed where her blemish could become her strength?

Eliyana is used to the shadows. With a hideous birthmark covering half her face, she just hopes to graduate high school unscathed. That is, until Joshua hops a fence and changes her perspective. No one, aside from her mother, has ever treated her as normal. Maybe even beautiful. Because of Joshua, Eliyana finally begins to believe she could be loved.

But one night her mother doesn’t come home, and that’s when everything gets weird.

Now Joshua is her new, and rather reluctant, legal Guardian. Add a hooded stalker and a Central Park battle to the mix and you’ve gone from weird to otherworldly.

Eliyana soon finds herself in a world much larger and more complicated than she’s ever known. A world enslaved by a powerful and vile man. And Eliyana holds the answer to defeating him. How can an ordinary girl, a blemished girl, become a savior when she can’t even save herself?

About the Author:sara ella.jpg
Once upon a time, SARA ELLA dreamed she would marry a prince (just call her Mrs. Charming) and live in a castle (aka The Plaza Hotel). Though her fairy tale didn’t quite turn out as planned, she did work for Disney—that was an enchanted moment of its own. Now she spends her days throwing living room dance parties for her two princesses and conquering realms of her own imaginings. She believes “Happily Ever After is Never Far Away” for those who put their faith in the King of kings.

Now it’s your turn!

  1. Happy Friday!

My first lines come from a book I will be reading later this month, The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan.

There are good anniversaries, and bad anniversaries . This was a bad one and Suzanne chose to mark the moment with a nightmare.

Have a great weekend and Happy Reading!😊📚💖

  2. On my blog today, I am featuring a book by Georgette Heyer, “A Civil Contract.” Here, I will share the first line of chapter 10 in that same novel. “Few invitations conferred so great a distinction on the social aspirant as one to Nassington House.” Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Happy Friday!

My first lines come from Melt For You by J.T. Geissenger

“Top Ten Reasons Why The Holidays Suck”

I’m featuring Casey L. Bond’s Unlocked on my blog today! Be sure to stop by to catch the first lines of this fairy tale retelling!

  4. Happy Friday!

I’ve been undecided about reading Unblemished, but the opening lines do make me want to add it to my TBR pile. This week, I’m featuring Julie Klassen’s Lady of Milkweed Manor on my blog. However, I am also reading Jody Hedlund’s The Preacher’s Bride which is set in 1659 England. The opening lines to the novel are “The babe’s crying would rip her heart to shreds if she had to listen to it one more minute.”

  5. This series has the most beautiful covers 🙂

I’m sharing the very long first line from A Defense of Honor from the new Haven Manor series by Kristi Ann Hunter on my blog today. It was one of those read-in-a-day books 🙂

I’m currently reading Just Let Go by Courtney Walsh, a romance about a woman wanting to reconnect with the mother who abandoned her years ago. But the first line is from the viewpoint of the hero:

    He shouldn’t be here.
A diner in some little tourist town in Michigan was no place for Grady Benson, but here he was.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Yay for Sara Ella’s stories! I just love Unblemished… and Unraveling…. and I’m looking forward to finishing the series by reading Unbreakable soon. Very soon!

Here are the first lines from the book I’m currently reading: ” ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged , that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.’ Madelynne DeBloom looked up from reading aloud from her cherished copy of Pride and Prejudice” – First Impressions by Debra White Smith
