Happy Friday!
The Book I’m sharing this week is:
Amazon | Goodreads
“Bryce followed her quick stride through the hospital corridor, just close enough to track her swaying ponytail.”
I am currently reading Uninvited which is the second in the series by Beckie Lindsey. (You can see my full review for the first book called Secrets HERE). It’s incredibly important to pay attention to the “trigger warnings” in the beginning of the book because it has the ability to be a very painful read if you are able to relate to any of the characters. Simply put this is The Screwtape Letters for today’s generation of teen girls. You see not only what is happening physically in the characters’ stories, but you see how the demons work together for total destruction. It’s a difficult read but also a page turner as you see not only the influence of the demons, but God drawing them to Himself from the other side.
About the Book:
Every girl has a secret she hopes the light will never find—But the demons already have.
Battles between unseen forces of good and evil have made unlikely friends out of high school juniors Krystal, Mackenzie, Tammi, and Sadie, who share similar secrets from their traumatic pasts.
Will the relationships survive the epic spiritual battles raging around them? Or will the demons keep them chained to their secrets?
About the Author:
Beckie Lindsey is an award-winning poet, author, blogger, and the editor of Southern California Christian Voice, a division of One Christian Voice,a national news syndicating agency. She is a major coffeeholic and enjoys a good book with a cat on her lap. She also loves to hike and hang out with family and friends. Beckie and her husband, Scott have three adult children, two adorable cats and live in California.
Now it’s your turn!

“She should have been prepared. After all, she’d had two months to imagine this moment, to brace herself for someone new to enter her life.”
A Return of Devotion by Kristi Ann Hunter
Thanks for sharing!
This looks like a good book! It’s a really good first line 🙂
Some calls went wrong. Terribly wrong. Deputy Kendal McKade’s gut screamed this was one of those calls.

I wouldn’t be able to read this, but it does look interesting!
Blessings~
No judgment it’s not a book for everyone! It’s a good book but not an easy read emotionally
I appreciate the heads up. Sometimes there is no warning and being blindsided is bad for my PTSD. I’m getting better, though.
I fully understand and agree. Thankfully the author is very up-front about it and has a “Trigger Warning” page before the book even starts.
That is so helpful, there have been severall times that I have been blindsided. It’s really tough sometimes.
Thank you for your understanding!
Blessings~💖
I am reading Miriam by Mesu Andrews this weekend. Here’s the first line — “I am Miriam, old but of use.” Happy Friday!
Haha love it!
Happy Friday!
I’ve shared the first line from The Deceived by Kelly Harrel over on my blog. But, I am currently reading Of Fire and Lions by Mesu Andrews. OH. MY. WORD! Is this book AMAZING!!!! I’m just starting chapter 12, so I will leave the first line from there.
“Babylon’s coolest months were warmer than Jerusalem’s winter, and my small world of friendships was warmer still.”
Hope you have a great weekend. Happy reading! 😊💜📚
I just read it last weekend I knew you’d like it too!
Happy Friday & Happy Weekend! My first line is from “The Curse of Misty Wayfair” by Jaime Jo Wright:
“Melancholy was a condition of the spirit and the soul, but also of the mind.”
Loved it hope you do too!
My first line come from Catching the Wind by Melanie Dobson:
“Maple leaves draped over the tree house window, the silvery fronds linked together like rings of chain mail to protect the boy and girl playing inside.”
Happy Reading!

I read that book last year. It was incredibly written!
Uninvited sounds like it has a really powerful message, and is definitely something I’d be interested in reading. Hope you end up really liking it!
The first one definitely needs to be read first but this one leaves you hanging to need a book 3!
