Happy Friday!

The book I’m featuring this week is:

A Life Once Dreamed

Baker Book House | Amazon | Goodreads

Fearful, Timid, Reserved.”

I can’t wait to dig into this one soon! I enjoyed Rachel Fordham’s other two novels so I’m excited to see what she has come up with next. A Life Once Dreamed officially releases soon on August 4, 2020

About the Book:

Six years ago, a shocking secret sent Agnes Pratt running in search of a new start. She found it in Penance, a rugged town of miners and lumberjacks in the Dakota Territory, where she became Miss Aggie, respected schoolteacher and confirmed old maid. But the past has a way of catching up with people.

When childhood friend and former sweetheart James Harris accepts a position as the town doctor, Aggie’s pleasantly predictable days suddenly become anything but. James wants to know why Agnes left behind the life they had dreamed of creating for themselves–but he is the one person who can never know.

In the shadows of the Black Hills, can a healing light be shed on the past? Or will the secret Agnes can’t seem to outrun destroy her chance at happiness?

Fan-favorite Rachel Fordham brings to life the dusty streets of an 1880s frontier town in this story that affirms where you come from matters far less than where you’re going.

Now it’s your turn!

  1. Happy Friday!

I’m really looking forward to reading this one.

On my blog this week, I’m sharing the first line (from the prologue) of Dancing With Fireflies by Denise Hunter:

“Jade McKinley lowered the stove to medium and returned the chicken breasts to the pan.”

I hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂

Today was going to change his life. The certainty thrummed through Samuel Schrock as he looked over the farmyard in the predawn darkness of the July morning.
    AMISH RECKONING by Jocelyn McClay

To step inside the watchmaker’s cottage was to step outside of time.

  4. Happy Friday!
Today on my blog I’m sharing the first line from Love and a Little White Lie by Tammy L. Gray: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2020/07/17/first-line-friday-144/. It’s a really fun read. I’m currently on chapter 12, so I’ll share from there.
“By the time Saturday rolls around, I’m convinced that Father Time has a master’s degree in torture.”
I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with relaxing reading time. 😀❤📚

Happy Friday! My first line is from “A Heart Renewed” by author Kimberly Rae Jordan:

“Carter Ward stared at the woman in front of him, a sick feeling in his stomach.”

  6. Sounds like a novel I would enjoy. My current read is Practically Married by Karin Beery. I’m just starting the second chapter, so I will share the first line of that chapter. “The sharp edge of reality sliced through Russ’ heart.” May you have a blessed week.
