Happy Friday!

The book I’m featuring this week is:

Love's Mountain Quest (Hearts of Montana, #2)

Baker Book House | Amazon | Goodreads

The woman stood in the wind, skirts billowing, hair flying, as though the gusts swept away all her inhibitions.

I pre-ordered this one from Baker Book House, and I’m very glad to have my copy in my hands now. Hopefully I’ll be able to read it very soon because it’s one I’ve been looking forward to for a while!

About the Book:

Young widow Joanna Watson is struggling to make a new home for her five-year-old son, Samuel, in the little mountain town of Settler’s Fort. When she returns home from work to find Samuel and the woman watching him missing, with no lawman in town, she enlists a man she prays has enough experience in this rugged country to help.

Isaac Bowen wants nothing more than a quiet, invisible life in these mountains, far away from the bad decisions of his past. But he has a strong suspicion of who’s behind the kidnapping, and if he’s right, he knows all too well the evil they’re chasing.

As they press on against the elements, Joanna fights to hold on to hope, while Isaac knows a reckoning is coming. They find encouragement in the tentative trust that grows between them, but whether it can withstand the danger and coming confrontation is far from certain in this wild, unpredictable land.

Now it’s your turn!

  2. Happy Friday!

This sounds like a beautiful story, and the first line definitely has me intrigued as to what’s going to happen next.

On my blog this week, I’m sharing the first line (from the prologue) of The Solid Grounds Coffee Company by Carla Laureano:

“By all accounts, Suesca was haunted.”

I hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂

My first line this week is from A BRIDE OF CONVENIENCE by Jody Hedlund:
    Vancouver Island January 12, 1863
“I ain’t gonna make it, Zoe.”

I’m currently reading Ready to Trust by Tina Radcliffe and the first line is “Reece Rainbolt stepped into the Rebel, Oklahoma, law office of Edwin P. Sanders, Esquire.” I hope you have a nice weekend!
