Happy Friday!

This week the book I’m featuring is:

The Lost Lieutenant (Serendipity & Secrets #1)

Amazon | Baker Book House | Goodreads

You’ll do as you’re told if you know what’s good for you.

Sound familiar right now? Haha.. okay sorry. But seriously, The Lost Lieutenant releases later this month on April 21st. I’m excited to dig into it soon. Although Amazon isn’t shipping books right now, you can still pre-order an e-book copy or if you’d like a paperback copy Baker Book House has a sale going on right now AND they have free shipping. (I may or may not have done some shopping on there myself recently 😉 )

About the Book:

He’s doing what he can to save the Prince Regent’s life . . . but can he save his new marriage as well? Evan Eldridge never meant to be a war hero–he just wanted to fight Napoleon for the future of his country. And he certainly didn’t think that saving the life of a peer would mean being made the Earl of Whitelock. But when the life you save is dear to the Prince Regent, things can change in a hurry.

Now Evan has a new title, a manor house in shambles, and a stranger for a bride, all thrust upon him by a grateful ruler. What he doesn’t have are all his memories. Traumatized as a result of his wounds and bravery on the battlefield, Evan knows there’s something he can’t quite remember. It’s important, dangerous–and if he doesn’t recall it in time, will jeopardize not only his marriage but someone’s very life.

Readers who enjoy Julie Klassen, Carolyn Miller, and Kristi Ann Hunter will love diving into this brand-new Regency series filled with suspense, aristocratic struggles, and a firm foundation of faith.

  1. Happy Friday!
Today I’m sharing from chapter 27 in The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson.
“Still needing to get groceries for tonight’s dinner with Jordan, Dillon was tempted to skip the Silver Slipper altogether.”
Hope you have a great Easter weekend. 🙂❤📖

If Lucy Maxwell had learned on thing, it was that when life appears to be going smoothly, it was time to listen closely for the other boot to drop.

  3. I’m pretty sure I heard that line a time or two!

My first lines are from Natasha Madison’s upcoming release Southern Comfort.

“Hello?” I say after two rings, and then I want to kick myself when I realize I didn’t even check to see who it was.

“You have a collect call from an inmate at . . .” When the recorded message starts, I do what I’ve done the other fifty times and hang up.

  4. Happy Friday!

I’ve never personally heard of this book, but it sounds really interesting, and I may have to read this one in the future.

On my blog today I’m sharing the first line from The Truth in Tiramisu by Rachael Bloome:

“Every time Eliza Carter closed her eyes, she saw his face.”

Hope you have a lovely Easter weekend 🙂

  5. Paula Shreckhise

My book this week is THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE MOOR by Michelle Griep.
March 1861 Dartmoor Prison, Devon, England

Death prowled the cell block like a dark animal seeking prey— especially the weakest.

Am expecting The Lost Lieutenant in the mail!

  6. Happy Saturday! Today, I’m sharing the first line from Before I Called You Mine by Nicole Deese: “If Obsessive Email Checking Disorder were a disease, I was likely already in the final stages: trigger thumb, mindless refreshing, aimless scrolling, and of course, an inability to focus on anything else in the entire world.”
