Happy Friday!
This week I’m featuring:
Amazon | Goodreads
If Obsessive Email Checking Disorder were a disease, I was likely already in the final stages: trigger thumb, mindless refreshing, aimless scrolling, and, of course, an inability to focus on anything else in the entire world.
I started reading this one Wednesday and I’m completely shocked that I haven’t finished it yet! (Although.. will be happening soon as I’m in the last 50 pages now haha). Y’all, it’s soooo good! If it’s not on your TBR pile yet you need to immediately place it there! This is my first read by the author but I guarantee it won’t be my last!
About the Book:
Lauren Bailey may be a romantic at heart, but after a decade of matchmaking schemes gone wrong, there’s only one match she’s committed to now–the one that will make her a mother. Lauren is a dedicated first grade teacher in Idaho, and her love for children has led her to the path of international adoption. To satisfy her adoption agency’s requirements, she gladly agreed to remain single for the foreseeable future; however, just as her long wait comes to an end, Lauren is blindsided by a complication she never saw coming: Joshua Avery.
Joshua may be a substitute teacher by day, but Lauren finds his passion for creating educational technology as fascinating as his antics in the classroom. Though she does her best to downplay the undeniable connection between them, his relentless pursuit of her heart puts her commitment to stay unattached to the test and causes her once-firm conviction to waver.
With an impossible decision looming, Lauren might very well find herself choosing between the two deepest desires of her heart . . . even if saying yes to one means letting go of the other.
About the Author:
Nicole Deese’s eight humorous, heartfelt, and hope-filled novels include the 2017 Carol Award-winning A Season to Love. Her 2018 release, A New Shade of Summer, was a finalist in the RITA Awards, Carol Awards, and INSPY Awards. Both of these books are from her bestselling Love in Lenox series. When she’s not working on her next contemporary romance, she can usually be found reading one by a window overlooking the inspiring beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She lives in small-town Idaho with her happily-ever-after hubby, two rambunctious sons, and princess daughter with the heart of a warrior.

My book this week is Dead End by Nancy Mehl
Chief of Police Everett Sawyer stood over the body they’d just dug up in the old rail yard north of the city.
Haven’t read that one yet hope you enjoy it!
Happy Friday! 🙂
I’m currently reading Dead End by Nancy Mehl. I’m halfway through and I’m loving it so much. I’m on chapter 23, so I’ll share from there:
“Before Noah and Kaely left the restaurant, Noah called Chief Sawyer and told him about the note given to Kenny.”
Hope you have a great weekend filled with awesome reading time. 😊❤📖
I’m behind I need to catch up on that series. Hope you’re enjoying it!
I’m LOVING it!
Happy Friday!
Before I Called You Mine is my favorite book I’ve read so far this year. It’s such an amazing story.
On my blog this week, I’m featuring The Happy Camper by Melody Carlson:
“Dillon Michaels was fed up-but it wasn’t with dinner.”
Hope you have a great rest of your weekend 🙂
I’m glad to hear you liked it too! Hope you enjoy Happy Camper 🙂
Happy Friday! My first line is from “A Latte Difficulty” by Angela Ruth Strong:
“Black is a good color for coffee, not bridesmaid dresses.”
I don’t even like coffee but that’s funny 🤣🤣
Happy Friday! On my blog, I’m featuring A Love Most Worthy by Sandra Ardoin. Here, I will share my current read from the Seven Brides of South Dakota Series by Kari Trumbo. This is from Book 1, Dreams in Deadwood. The first line in Chapter 7—which is where I’m currently at—is “Boom drove Aiden to the outskirts of Deadwood, then bypassed the town and went around to a small area with what seemed like endless rows of tiny decrepit homes.” Have a wonderful weekend!
I love Kari Trumbo’s books!
Happy Friday! I just finished Before I Called You Mine a few days ago! Today I’m sharing the first lines from The Piper’s Pursuit by Melanie Dickerson: “Did Katerina dare to stay out hunting past dark?”

Ooo haven’t read it yet but hope you enjoy!
I’m currently reading Mission Hollywood by Michelle Keener. I’m on chapter 29 so I’ll share that first line. “Lily spent New Year’s Day at home, while her dad and Noah went to the church to start work on preparations for the block party.” I hope you have a great weekend of reading!
Thanks hope you do too!
This one sounds good, I have added it to my TBR.
I am reading several books right now, but I started a Harlequin Heartwarming Book Today. A Match Made Perfect by Anna J. Stewart. This line is a father talking to his daughter.
“Chin up Mandy.” Sebastian Evans tapped a finger under his own chin as he palmed the softball.
🙂 Such a great opening line!!
