Happy Friday!

The book I’m featuring this week is:

Secrets of My Heart (Willamette Brides, #1)

Amazon | Goodreads

Oh, my poor dear Mrs. Pritchard,” the older woman declared as soon as Nancy opened the front door.

Secrets of My Heart releases in just a few days on March 3, 2020. I can’t wait to read it! I heard that it was a sequel series to the author’s Heart of the Frontier series so I am currently reading them first. I JUST finished reading the first one (Treasured Grace), and I’m about to jump into the second (yes, I know it’s after midnight. Hush 😛 haha). I also just discovered that Treasured Grace is currently only $0.79 on Amazon for the e-book right now which is a great deal! Click HERE if you want to check that out. I’ll be sharing my review very soon 🙂

About the Book:

Portland, Oregon, 1879. Nancy Pritchard finds herself a widow with a world of problems when her deceased husband’s schemes start to come to light. As she searches through the pieces of her loveless marriage, Nancy realizes there is a lot that she didn’t know about this man.

Seth Carpenter is a childhood friend of Nancy’s who has recently returned to Portland. He’s delighted to see her again, and as a lawyer, he is able to help her sort through the legal aspects of her husband’s death. But there’s more to him than meets the eye, and his job will take him into a darker side of Nancy’s life–a side she didn’t even know existed. As they search for the truth behind her husband’s death, their attraction to each other creates complications, and the threat to Nancy increases. Can Seth be honest with her about who he really is and why he’s come to Portland? And can Nancy bear another betrayal?

Officer Kaylin Poirer’s stomach lurched at the sight of the two people inside a white florist van that pulled up to her booth at the Windsor-Detroit border. The driver wouldn’t meet her gaze and his passenger couldn’t sit still.

    That’s an amazing first line.

On my blog today I’m sharing the first line from Mandi Blake’s upcoming release All The Stars:

I haven’t read much by Tracie Peterson, but that sounds like a good one!

Today on my blog I’m featuring One Little Lie by Colleen Coble. I just finished Being Known by Robin Jones Gunn, so I’ll share the first lines here: “ Whenever I close my eyes and think of my mother, I see her red toenails. Her perfectly manicured toes flaunting her signature nail-polish color, Oh My, Cherry Pie.”

    Have a great weekend! 😊

  5. I really enjoyed her Heart of the Wilderness series, I’ll have to check this out!

I’m sharing from The Vault Between Spaces by Chawna Schroeder on my blog today. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Happy Weekend! My first line (actually 2 lines) is from “Draw Me to Your Side” by Marguerite Martin Gray:

“Closing her eyes for a brief respite, Elizabeth dozed in the afternoon sun peeking through the frosty windowpanes. The image of a coiled, ferocious rattlesnake fought its way behind eyelids seemingly glued together.”
