Title: Breach of Trust
Author: Rachel Dylan
Series: Atlanta Justice #3
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Publishing Date: Feb 5, 2019
Format (I read): ARC e-book
About the Book:
Corporate litigator Mia Shaw suffers the shock of her life when she finds her colleague and friend brutally murdered. Grief-stricken and furious, Mia vows that she will do anything to seek justice and make the killer pay.
The man accused of the murder is a friend of security tech guru Noah Ramirez, but the evidence just doesn’t add up. To save his former ATF partner, Noah needs to convince Mia that the real killer is still on the loose.
Mia soon has more than the criminal prosecution to worry about, however. She is tasked with taking over her friend’s last case and learns he was hiding secrets about his client. She thinks she may have stumbled upon corporate espionage that has turned deadly, but she has no idea of the danger involved. Her only ally is Noah, despite their difference of opinion on the homicide case. Can he win Mia over to his side and protect her from ever-growing threats?
My Review:
Ever sit down to read a few chapters in a book and before you know it you’ve closed the back cover? That was me while reading Breach of Trust. The action quickly sucked me in and I was captive until the very last page. Rachel Dylan’s writing is impeccable, weaving the reader on an adventure they’re not soon to forget. The characters were well developed and the suspense was clearly palpable.
As with any other crime fiction novel, as a reader you generally expect to be thrown-off a few times, holding you in a roller-coaster of suspense. I won’t share any of the story-line to prevent spoiling, but I will simply tell you that the wheels in my mind were continuously spinning in an attempt to fit the puzzle pieces together before the characters. The author truly did a masterful job on this one.
Breach of Trust is the third in the Atlanta Justice series. While it can easily be read as a stand-alone I’d still highly recommend reading the others as well. This series is amazing and one that is sure to leave me stalking the author for her next release (in a completely non-creepy way haha). If you’re a fan of romantic suspense this series is a must-read!
