My Review

Although I am someone interested in history in general, I have long been fascinated with the Tudor era. So when I heard about this read I was immediately intrigued. If you know anything about the real Lady Jane Grey’s story, it’s really quite sad, and so I was curious what this author might be able to dream up that would have given her a better life. For the most part I truly enjoyed the story. I think the only character I really struggled with was Queen Mary, as even though she was portrayed realistically throughout the story in general, I didn’t feel she acted the same in regards to Lady Jane. But the rest of the tale with the other supporting characters had me fully intrigued. The constant mistrust of anyone and everyone, and never knowing who was honest or who was a spy or out for their own advantage; it was enough that even as a reader when you knew where some of the characters stood, others were able to throw you for a loop… and back around again. I enjoyed this one and would definitely be willing to read more from this author again in the future.

About the Author
