Narrator Review:

The performance of this audiobook was very well done. The Narrator did a great job of matching the energy of the story and it kept me interested in hearing more. I would easily listen to more books read by her in the future.

Story Review:

I absolutely adored this story. Although it’s the third book in a series, it can easily still be read as a standalone which is what I did myself. I am saddened that I didn’t read the first two now though since I enjoyed this one so much. Because of a deformity in one of her arms, Mercy was teased as a young child and the one who was the ringleader happens to show up in her town promising to be a changed man. As someone who was bullied in my own past–I could understand her hesitancy to trust his level of chance considering the amount of hurt that was still raw after several years. I liked that even though he truly was a changed man, Aaron was still flawed and had battles he continued to face. I found little Jimmy’s character intriguing and wondered what his backstory was, and without spoiling I’ll simply say job well done to the author for how his part played out. The cast of characters in this story were wonderfully developed and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. This is a story I’m sure will stay with me for a long time and it’s one I can highly recommend to others.
