First Line Friday #100

Happy Friday!

The book I’m featuring this week is:

Amazon | Goodreads

Thirty seconds.

I’m currently reading Collision of Lies and I’m about halfway through. So far it’s really good and I feel myself getting anxious for some answers!

About the Book:

Three years ago, a collision between a fast-moving freight train and a school bus full of kids led to devastation and grief on an unimaginable scale. But a fresh clue leads San Antonio police detective Amara Alvarez to the unlikely conclusion that one of the children may still be alive. If she’s correct, everything law enforcement believes about the accident is a lie.

With time running out, Amara must convince others–and herself–that despite all evidence to the contrary, the boy lives. And she will do everything in her power to bring him home.

A fresh voice in suspense, Tom Threadgill will have you questioning everything as you fly through the pages of this enthralling story.

    1. Oooo I want to read that one! Mario Escobar needs to hurry up and have more of his books translated into English. I can get the gist of them reading the blurbs in Spanish but I wouldn’t do so great trying to read the whole thing lol

  1. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one; I’m hoping to read it soon! I just started reading Flight Risk by Cara Putman; here are the first lines: “‘Savannah, call for you on line one. Says he’s a reporter. Never heard of him.””

Have a great rest of your weekend!
