Happy Friday!
The Book I’m featuring this week is:
Amazon | Goodreads
There isn’t another smell like this in the entire world.
Gina Holder is one of my blogging friends who also participates in His Encouragement Thursdays so I’ve been really excited to dig into this one. I am currently reading it and I’m almost halfway through. So far I’m really enjoying it and I’m anxious to see how everything works out! My review will be posted next Wednesday as part of a tour and giveaway 🙂
About the Book:
One Book Changed Her Life…and Her Eternity
He said he’d never risk leaving a widow.
She said she’d never love a man in uniform.
Paige McDonald collects antique literature and works at the largest bookstore in Portland, Oregon. When her grandfather, a firefighter, was killed, Paige vowed never to fall in love with a first responder. But an old Bible leads to an unexpected discovery and disrupts everything she knows about herself, her family, and God. Her desire to know the truth sends her to the town of Whitman directly into the radar of Patrol Officer Hamilton Bryant.
After the loss of his best friend and fellow officer, Hamilton vowed never to marry. He won’t risk leaving a widow. Instead, he reserves his passion for serving his family and the town he’s sworn to protect. When a series of robberies and threats against the mayor correspond with Paige’s sudden appearance in Whitman, their paths intersect.
About the Author:
Gina Holder dreamed of being a writer from her early teen years and completed the Long Ridge Writer’s Group “Breaking into Print” course. She also graduated from Faith Bible Institute. In August 2017, she published her first novel, Whither Shall I Go?, a historical romance. No Greater Love is her first contemporary romantic suspense.
She lives in Colorado with her husband and daughter. When she’s not homeschooling her daughter or working on her next novel, she enjoys reading, watching movies, singing, and playing the piano and organ.

Today’s the day! Adrenaline and excitement surged through Gideon Kaiser as he parked his buggy next to the midwife’s buggy. He couldn’t wait to hold his first boppli – and just after Thanksgiving! An extra blessing to give thanks for.

Today on my blog I’m sharing the first couple of lines from No Greater Love by Gina Holder. It’s a really good book! I’m currently on chapter 25, so I’ll share the first line from there.
“If his sister fluffed his pillow one more time, Hamilton was going to lose his last shred of sanity.”
Hope you have an excellent weekend. 😀❤📚

My first line is from The Express Bride by Kim Woodhouse:
Prologue:
St. Louis, March 1834
With shaking limbs, she climbed into the plush carriage awaiting her, the precious bundle in her arms worth far more than the money, trinkets and trunks of clothing she left behind.
Wonderful book. Check out the whole series of The Daughters of the Mayflower.

It’s neat that you kind of “know” the author of the book you are featuring! 🙂 I am still reading the same book as last week, Hello Again by Heather Tullis. I am currently on chapter 29 so I will share that first line here: “In the morning as Piper got ready for work she glanced out the window and noticed Spencer’s carpool ride was pulling up to the building. I hope you have a nice weekend!
