His Encouragement #47

his-encouragement

Happy Thursday! I am blessed to be a part of a group of bloggers who feel led to share a bit of encouragement each week from the Bible. We recognize our daily need for Christ and we aim to share that with our readers. Plus, when Thursday comes around, we can all use a little encouragement right? I hope that this post blesses you and that you find comfort, strength, and peace in the Lord today ❤

Do you ever feel like you are facing some mighty mountains all on your own? Do you ever feel as if you’re going into a lions’ den all on your own?

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.

Deuteronomy 20:4

It can be easy for us to feel like we are doing battle in this life on our own, but the truth is it is God who will fight against our enemies including that big nasty guy Satan. It can be difficult to “let go and let God,” but He is the one before us guiding our steps. It’s not to say we don’t have any responsibilities ourselves, but ultimately all victory belongs to the Lord.

Whether you are feeling pressures at home or work, with enemies/frenemies or just life situations–whatever is heavy on your shoulders lift it up to your Heavenly Father and trust in His control over whatever you face. As hard as it may feel, maintain an eternal perspective over life and don’t allow anything temporary in this life to steal your eternal joy.

I know this is short but hopefully encouraging for you today. I’m ending with the worship song How Great is Our God. Feel free to take a moment to listen and hope you have a blessed rest of the week!

Now, it’s your turn!

What Biblical verse is encouraging you today?

  1. Absolutely! We need to remember that it is the Lord who fights the enemy on our behalf. No matter what we are struggling with, we need to let God be in control.
