His Encouragement #46

his-encouragement

Happy Thursday! I am blessed to be a part of a group of bloggers who feel led to share a bit of encouragement each week from the Bible. We recognize our daily need for Christ and we aim to share that with our readers. Plus, when Thursday comes around, we can all use a little encouragement right? I hope that this post blesses you and that you find comfort, strength, and peace in the Lord today ❤

Have you ever had a week where you just feel tired and worn out? Have you ever felt that you just need some quiet time with the Lord and forget everything else in your life for a few moments? That’s pretty much been me this week. My brain has felt like it’s on overdrive and is in serious need of a time out.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

~Matt 11:28-30

This passage has been on my mind for the past few days. Regardless of what is stealing your energy or joy today, seek God and find your rest in Him. When life gets overwhelming and you anxiety runs high, find refuge in the arms of your Heavenly Father. If you’re feeling like you’re drowning and struggling to come up for air, reach your hand out to Jesus to lift you up out of the water like Peter. Although life can be overwhelming sometimes, NOTHING is too big for your Heavenly Father.

This week I’m sharing the song Steady My Heart by Kari Jobe.I hope it encourages you today and that you have a blessed rest of the week ❤

Now, it’s your turn!

  1. I love this passage. It’s a great reminder to rest in Jesus. I need this reminder today.
Today is my dad’s birthday. I am really missing him. But, God will see me and my family through this rough patch.
By the way, thank you for the card. It means a lot to me that you are praying for me. You’re a great friend, Becca!

  2. It sounds so simple, and yet sometimes I find it to be about the most difficult thing ever to do. I want to give Jesus my burdens, and ask Him to take them away, but then find myself still dwelling on them for awhile. Part of spiritual growth 😉 Wonderful song choice. I love Kari Jobe!
