I received the black leathersoft edition of this Bible. Outside of the box I really like the design. It has a very clean look with vibrant blue stitching along the edge. This was the first thing my husband said when he took a look at it as well. The edge of the pages are also lined with silver. It has two ribbon markers which I’ve started to see more often and like the addition. The box says that it’s large print but I don’t know if I would fully label it as large. The Bible text itself is a bit larger, but the notes are a smaller font. I would consider it a comfortable read but if you’re specifically looking for large print I’d look inside first to see if it’s large enough for your personal comfort.
As far as the content goes inside I would consider this your typical study Bible. I didn’t really see anything that made it stand out from other study Bibles but it has a solid clean design. The text is black with the chapter numbers in dark blue. There is also some more blue throughout added for design and background for added content.
The more content added, the bigger the Bible and the more difficult it is to carry around. Especially for larger print, this can be a real dilemma. What’s nice about this Bible is that while you still have a fair amount of study material, it’s still not overwhelming in size. I would consider this a solid option for a new study Bible.
