Happy Friday!

This week I’m featuring:

Unraveling
By: Sara Ella

“Whence I fell, he left me there.
Lost, nay abandoned; what did he care?”

Unraveling is my next read and I can’t wait to dig in! I’m currently reading the first book in the series Unblemished, but I’m almost done with it. It’s like the new Narnia but for teenagers (or older 😉 ) LOVING the series so far!

About the Book:
What happens when happily ever after starts to unravel?

Eliyana Ember doesn’t believe in true love. Not anymore. After defeating her grandfather and saving the Second Reflection, El only trusts what’s right in front of her. The tangible. The real. Not some unexplained Kiss of Infinity she once shared with the ghost of a boy she’s trying to forget. She has more important things to worry about–like becoming queen of the Second Reflection, a role she is so not prepared to fill.

Now that the Verity is intertwined with her soul and Joshua’s finally by her side, El is ready to learn more about her mysterious birth land, the land she now rules. So why does she feel like something–or someone–is missing?

When the thresholds begin to drain and the Callings, those powerful magical gifts, begin to fail, El wonders if her link to Ky Rhyen may have something to do with it. For light and darkness cannot coexist. She needs answers before the Callings disappear altogether. Can El find a way to sever her connection to Ky and save the Reflections–and keep herself from falling for him in the process?

About the Author:sara ella.jpg
Once upon a time, SARA ELLA dreamed she would marry a prince (just call her Mrs. Charming) and live in a castle (aka The Plaza Hotel). Though her fairy tale didn’t quite turn out as planned, she did work for Disney—that was an enchanted moment of its own. Now she spends her days throwing living room dance parties for her two princesses and conquering realms of her own imaginings. She believes “Happily Ever After is Never Far Away” for those who put their faith in the King of kings.

Now it’s your turn!

Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line. To see what First Lines others are sharing this week head over to Hoarding Books.

  1. I really need to find time to read this series!

I’m featuring the first line from ‘Dancing in the Rain’ by Eileen Rife and Jennifer Slattery on my blog today, but I’m currently up to chapter eleven, so here’s the first line from chapter eleven:

“Nervous energy filled Loni’s stomach as her plane made its descent into Blountville, Tennessee.”

  2. Today on my blog I am sharing a book I read a long time ago by Mary Connealy that I greatly enjoyed, Petticoat Ranch. Here I will share the first line from the book I am currently reading/studying, “Saving Truth” by Abdu Murray. “You’ve been at an intersection before, waiting for the red light to change, and had that uneasy feeling: Is the bus next to me moving forward or am I in reverse?” This book is about finding meaning and clarity in a post-truth world. I highly recommend this author. Wishing you a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

  3. Today on my blog, I am sharing the first line from To Kill a Mockingbird — one of my most favorite books ever written. So here I will share from the book I am currently reading, The Theory of Happily Ever After by Kristin Billerbeck. I am just beginning chapter 14, so I will share the first line from there.

“Try as I might, I can’t release Sam’s kiss from my memory.”

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Happy Friday!😊

My FLF comes from a book I will be reading soon, My Heart Belongs in Niagra Falls New York by Amanda Barratt.

As the coachman loaded her trunk onto the carriage, nausea churned in Adele’s stomach.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!😀

  5. This sounds like an interesting series . . . especially if it has the whole Narnia element to it. I’ll have to add it to my extensive TBR pile. This week I’m featuring The Doctor’s Lady by Jody Hedlund for my FLF. Have a good weekend 🙂
